Nike updated the base and upper from the previous iteration to help optimize the Air Zoom unit's speed.   • The forefoot Air Zoom unit has two chambers to give you propulsion and stability from takeoff to the tape. 
• Stable for Straightaways
  • Nike removed the middle spike from the original Maxfly and elevated the platform on the big-toe side. This helps the spikes feel more stable on straightaways and around the turn.
