My first ever "recovery tool" that I used as a runner was your basic foam roller (an essential for any active person or anyone with aches and pains). When TriggerPoint came out with their vibrating foam roller, I thought, "could vibration really make that big of a difference?" The resounding answer is YES. I have the original Grid Vibe, which only has one vibration setting, while this updated version has 4 different vibration settings. I use the Grid Vibe every morning as I'm trying to wake up and warm up before my run. My main area of tightness is typically my calves, so I usually roll until I find a tight spot and then let the vibration do the work to loosen up the knot. Use this just like you would use your normal foam roller. I find that with the Grid Vibe, it's easier to find those tight spots and less difficult to work them out. The roller itself is pretty firm, so if you're used to a squishier foam roller, it may take a little while to work up to putting your full body weight on it. I've had mine for a few years and use it a minimum of 5 times a week, and it's holding up great. 10/10 recommend for sore people looking for a great recovery tool!
